Very tasty! but it’s a fine balance between defrosting from the freezer and having them too cold to bite into.

These were delicious! My only question is how do you store these? Do they stay in the freezer or in the fridge or can they just sit in a baggie?

They need to be kept frozen, like the recipe says and then thaw for a few minutes before enjoying :)

Does it matter if you use almond meal or almond flour?

Almond meal should work, but the result will be a little more coarse and rustic

Is there a substitute for protein powder?

Not really, since theses were developed to work with protein powder. You could use a grass fed collaged peptide or similar if you'd like, but you would need to add more sweetener to taste because the peptides don't have a sweetener in it
