When milling grain, do different kinds of mills grind it differently? If so, does this difference impact the quality of the grain in any way? I'd love to start milling my own flour - but I'm looking for a cheaper mill.. I'm thinking maybe the Kitchen Aid attachment?

Hi! Those are great questions! Yes different mills definitely mill differently. I would never recommend any mill that is cheaper than the classic mill on my website. And I don't just say that because I sell the mills, I was telling people that before I was selling mills. Nutrimill also makes a cheaper mill, I think it's $199 and I tried it and didn't care for it at all which is why I don't sell that one. Cheap mills like from amazon or the KA attachment don't mill the grains fine enough and you will have dense and crumbly breads. You will be frustrated and annoyed you spent the money on something that doesn't work and just wastes your ingredients. I talk to people every single day who have these cheaper "mills" and they always end up buying a 'real' grain mill. I hope that helps!

Perfect! Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to hear. I live in Canada 🇨🇦 - so I'll see if I can source a Nutrimill here. 🙂

You're welcome! I like to save people the heartache and wasted money any chance I can. Wondermill is also awesome, mockmill is great too!
